Overview
The new, fully motorized Olympus Z drift compensation module (TruFocus) combats focal drift to keep the sample in sharp focus during long-term, time-lapse experiments. The improved TruFocus unit is faster, more flexible and supports a larger range of objectives, sample vessels and imaging wavelengths. |
Always in FocusThe next level of the Olympus Z drift compensation module utilizes a near-infrared laser to locate the coverslip interface and corresponding focal position. Now completely motorized, TruFocus boosts application capabilities by supporting a larger range of objective lenses and additional vessel types such as plastic bottom dishes. With a newly refined fast focus search procedure, TruFocus is designed to meet cutting-edge application requirements. One-shot autofocus (AF) mode enables several focus positions to be set along the Z axis for thicker samples enabling efficient Z-stack acquisition in multi-position experiments. The enhanced continuous AF mode, now supporting dry objectives, keeps the desired plane of observation precisely in focus, even when adding reagents or during changes in room temperature. |
Designed for Ease-of-useThe IX83 microscope frame is designed with a specialized deck that allows TruFocus unit to be slipped easily into the infinite light path. The TruFocus is connected directly to the microscope frame so it is easily controlled via the touch panel controller (TPC) and cellSens software*. Although TruFocus can be operated through the TPC alone, cellSens software simplifies control and facilitates advanced multi-dimensional experiments such as time-lapse imaging. *cellSens is not to be used for clinical diagnostic use. |
Dedicated to Live Cell ImagingWhen combined with the Olympus ultrasonic stage, TruFocus is perfectly suited for capturing cellular dynamics through high-precision, multipoint time-lapse images that are never out of focus or misaligned. Additionally, the system employs near-infrared light to minimize cell damage during prolonged observation. |
High-Precision, Multi-Area Imaging with cellSens SoftwareThe Olympus cellSens software* improves the efficiency of multi-area time-lapse imaging. When used with the continuous autofocus mode of TruFocus, 96-well plates are imaged quickly and easily using the cellSens well navigator solution. TruFocus is compatible with plastic vessels and dry objectives for increased cost-effectiveness. *cellSens is not to be used for clinical diagnostic use. |
