Modulation Contrast - Java Tutorial
Hoffman modulation contrast increases specimen visibility and contrast, especially for unstained objects and living material. This tutorial demonstrates how this remarkable technique works.
Use the two sliders on the right to adjust the amount of contrast and sample position. The upper slider controls specimen rotation. Use the mouse cursor to move the slider back and forth, and the specimen will rotate 360 degrees as the slider is moved from far left to far right. The lower slider controls the polarizer position. Use the cursor to move the slider and the polarizer will rotate through 180 degrees.
