A laser light stimulation scanner can be installed separately to form a unique Triple Scanner system. This enables advanced experiments such as optogenetic laser light stimulation of Channelrhodopsin (ChR2) and Halorhodopsin (NpHR), with simultaneous real-time imaging of neural cell activity using a visible or IR-range laser. |
Unique Triple Scanner SetupThe FLUOVIEW SIM scanner is an additional compact scanning unit used to synchronize laser light stimulation with the imaging process. The synchronization of imaging and stimulation scanning ensures that those cellular reactions that occur during or immediately following stimulation are not overlooked. Together with the FVMPE-RS scanning unit which already incorporates a resonant and standard galvanoscanner set, this will form a unique Triple Scanner system. |
Stimulate Your SciencePhotostimulation experiments like FRAP, FLIP or photo-activation are important for a lot of kinetics measurements within different samples. Features such as Tornado scanning and sharing a second IR laser for either imaging or IR light stimulation during simultaneous multi-Color multiphoton imaging improves efficiency and facilitates lab management. |
Wide Choice of Scan ModesThe FVMPE-RS comes with AOM as standard, providing fine spatial and temporal control of imaging and light stimulation. Using Olympus' own tornado scanning allows rapid bleaching and laser light stimulation of the desired ROI during experiments. |
Tornado Scanning for Highly Efficient StimulationConventional raster scanning cannot always complete photobleaching quickly. Tornado scanning makes the procedure much more efficient by significantly reducing unnecessary scanning. The FVMPE-RS can employ two different methods of tornado scanning: one for constant linear velocity and one for constant angular velocity, providing the freedom to choose the best experimental method. |
Stimulation Area Change During ImagingTwo laser beams - one for imaging and one for laser light stimulation - can be controlled independently. The stimulation area can be moved to a different position on the cell during imaging, making this system a powerful solution for a variety of experiments. |
