The 2 channel high-sensitivity spectral detector (HSD) employs the TruSpectral Detection with Volume Phase Holographic (VPH) transmission grating technology and Peltier cooled GaAsP PMTs for a maximum high quantum efficiency of 45 % and detection up to 750 nm. The HSD can be combined with the 2 channel SD for flexible dynamic range or a second 2 channel HSD unit for powerful 4 channel sensitivity. |
TruSpectral DetectionThe gallium arsenide phosphide (GaAsP) photomultiplier tube (PMT) delivers greater quantum efficiency than multi-alkali PMTs as well as Peltier cooling so users can acquire high signal-to-noise images, even under faint fluorescence. TruSpectral Detection system employs VPH technology, ensuring higher efficiency in fluorescence detection than a reflection-type grating based system. |
Cooled GaAsP PMTA special selection of GaAsP PMT detectors offers high sensitivity with up to 45 % quantum efficiency (QE). Olympus has implemented Peltier cooling technology on the GaAsP detectors, resulting in improved signal to noise ratio. |

Multi Channel Lambda ScanningThe new TruSpectral Detection system features two independent spectral detection channels, each configured with a transmissive diffraction grating and variable slit for high-resolution wavelength separation and high-speed bandwidth selection. A linear resolution of 2 nm throughout the visible spectrum (400 - 800 nm) enables accurate spectral unmixing of overlapping fluorescence emissions. Two different spectral deconvolution algorithms - normal and blind deconvolution - quickly and efficiently separate different but overlapping fluorochromes within the specimen. |
Variable Barrier Filter (VBF)With the TruSpectral Detection system, the ideal wavelength spectrum is automatically selected once a fluorochrome combination has been chosen using the software. User can manually adjust the wavelength range according to the fluorescence emission wavelength peaks. |
