The FLUOVIEW SIM scanner is an additional compact scanning unit used to synchronize laser light stimulation with confocal and multiphoton imaging. The synchronization of imaging and stimulation scanning ensures that those cellular reactions that occur during or immediately following stimulation are not overlooked, making the FV1200 the most powerful microscope for FRAP, FLIP and photo-activation. Features such as Tornado scanning and the dual-Fiber laser combiner improve efficiency and facilitate lab management.

The FLUOVIEW SIM scanner unit synchronizes laser light stimulation with confocal and multiphoton imaging to avoid interruption to image observation during laser stimulation or manipulation. This unique capability ensures that fluorescence changes that occur during or immediately after laser stimulation are not overlooked, and it also offers unique advantages for a variety of applications, including FLIP, FRAP, photo-activation, photo-conversion and uncaging.
Two laser beams - one for imaging and one for laser light stimulation - can be controlled independently. The stimulation area can be moved to a different position on the cell during imaging, making this system a powerful solution for a variety of experiments.
Various scan modes can be used for both the observation area and the stimulation area. This enables free-form bleaching of designated points, lines, free-lines, rectangles and circles.
Conventional raster scanning cannot always complete photobleaching quickly. Tornado scanning makes the procedure much more efficient by significantly reducing unnecessary scanning.
The dual-Fiber laser combiner provides laser sharing between the SIM scanner and main scanner, eliminating the need to add a separate laser for the SIM scanner.
This unit is fully compatible with the FLUOVIEW FV1000 and FV1000MPE systems.
