Drug Discovery and High-Content Screening

Image-based high-content screening is often used in life science research and drug discovery to test and screen active compounds in cell-based assays with the aim of identifying candidates that alter the cells’ phenotype in a desired manner. The most important prerequisite for analyzing these assays is high-quality, artifact-free image data, which can only be provided by premium objective lenses.

Resolve More Details and Save Time

X Line objectives’ high numerical aperture (NA) produces bright, high-resolution images, which enables subcellular features to be resolved without using oil immersion. Thanks to the high NA, more light can be collected, allowing for reduced exposure times and faster screening of well plates.

Save Time and Costs with Plastic-Bottom Plates and Dishes

Glass-bottom vessels are expensive and introduce an extra step to the workflow. With our UCPLFLN20XPH A Line objective, you can obtain high-quality images directly from plastic bottom culture vessels without needing to transfer cells. With its high numerical aperture (NA) of 0.7, images are bright and uniform across the objective's large field of view, while the correction collar and long working distance optimize imaging through different cell culture vessels.
