Digitizing slide data makes it easy to analyze, share, and archive your results. The SLIDEVIEW™ VS200 research slide scanner enables you to capture high-resolution images of your slides for quantitative analysis, so you can make the most of the information your slides have to offer. The optical system is optimized for scanning slides, enabling you to digitize slides for brain, cancer, and stem cell research, as well as drug discovery. The SLIDEVIEW VS200 system lineup comes with several optional solutions, including a fluorescence module, image and data management (NIS SQL), a SILA optical sectioning device, and TruAI™ deep-learning technology for advanced image analysis. |
Research Slide Scanner SLIDEVIEW VS200The powerful SLIDEVIEW™ VS200 research slide scanner is designed to digitize glass slides and create high-resolution, whole slide images (WSIs) rapidly. Scientists can see more of their slides in less time with the system’s flexible features, including:
| Optical Sectioning Device SILAThe SILA (speckle illumination acquisition) optical sectioning device easily integrates into your VS200 system and software. Speckles are used to obtain high-contrast images, removing out-of-focus light to deliver sharp images, especially from thick samples. The image is computed during the scan, and there’s no need for post-processing, so the device has a minimal impact on acquisition speed. |
Image and Data Management Net Image Server NIS-SQLManaging the large amount of data generated by your VS200 scanner is easier than ever thanks to compatibility with our Net Image Server (NIS) SQL database and OlyVIA™ web programs. You can automatically upload your images to one or more databases, differentiate between users, and take advantage of offline visualization and annotation tools. | Accurate and Efficient Image Analysis TruAI™ Deep-LearningTruAI technology uses deep learning to simplify workflows and rapidly deliver more accurate results. Conventional thresholding methods often have difficulty identifying morphologic features on a sample and can miss critical targets. For example, when TruAI technology is applied to pancreatic samples, a trained neural network can accurately segment pancreatic islets and differentiate them from similar looking clusters of erythrocytes, enabling the number and size of the islets to be counted and measured automatically. |
High-Resolution Scanning VS200 Liquid DispenserBeyond its standard features, the SLIDEVIEW VS200 system can be enhanced to work with immersion media thanks to an optional liquid dispenser and high-resolution oil or silicone immersion objectives. Unlike slide scanners that do not offer high-magnification capabilities, the VS200 system's automatic oil dispenser enables you to use high-magnification, oil, or silicone oil immersion objectives for batch scanning without having to frequently stop to oil the lens. |
