Polarizing Objectives with Minimal Distortion
The CX31-P accommodates high-performance polarizing observation objectives including the PLN4xP, ACHN-P series and UPLFLN-P series. As well as reduced optical distortion, these objectives feature improved polarizing performance to obtain sharp, high contrast images.
Also, the centering adapters for objectives U-CTAD are provided for precise polarized observations and easy magnification change.
Orthoscopic and Conoscopic Observations
Every kind of operation; including attachment/removal of a Bertrand lens to switch between orthoscopic and conoscopic observation, focusing of conoscopic images, rotation or attachment removal of an analyzer, and clamping at any angle, is made easier by the microscope's central control layout.
Ideal for Biological Applications
Urate crystals observation can be performed easily by attaching a U-GAN analyzer via the polarizing intermediate attachment U-KPA. This combination is also effective in finding amyloid and urinary resident or observing living cells in muscular tissue.
An Extensive Range of Compensators
Six different compensators are available, allowing for the measurement of retardation levels, ranging from 0 to 20λ. For easier measurement, the direct readout method is featured. Higher image contrast can be attained by using a Senarmont* or Brace-Koehler compensator to change the retardation level in the entire field of view.
* Used with monochromatic green filter, IF546 or IF550.
Superior Frame Rigidity for Clear Images
Frame rigidity is crucially important, maintained by optimizing the alignment of systems inside the microscope body, including the focusing mechanism and stage supporting system. As well as stable and steady optical performance, the CX31-P features a rotatable stage with vernier for outstanding durability.
Easy Attachment of Mechanical Stage
For added versatility an X-Y mechanical specimen holder is available for easy x-y movement of one's specimen. Mounting an attachable cross movement mechanical stage (U-FMP) onto the circular rotatable stage allows precision X-Y focus, especially useful at higher magnifications. Interference between the mechanical stage and the objectives is eliminated, and images of superb quality can be effortlessly observed with all objective magnification.
Binocular Tube Prevents Crossline Slant
The U-BI30P Binocular tube prevents the crossline slant that can be caused by adjusting the interpupillary distance. In addition, the direction of polarizing light oscillation can be precisely aligned.
