Overview
The multi-area time-lapse software module controls the FV3000’s motorized XY stage for multi-dimensional and multi-area time-lapse imaging. The system images cell changes over time, efficiently capturing large amounts of data during a single experiment. Mosaic imaging with a high-magnification objective can be fully automated to efficiently prepare composite images that do not lose resolution when enlarged. Microscopes with Z-drift compensation and a CO2 incubator enable long time-lapse experiments. |
Multi-Area Time LapseThe motorized XY stage enables repeated image acquisition from multiple points scattered across a wide area. The software efficiently images cells’ changes over time in several different areas, capturing large amounts of data during a single experiment in a very efficient way. Microplates can be used to run parallel tests significantly improving throughput for experiments that require long-term observation. |
3D Mosaic Imaging and StitchingThe use of a high-magnification objective, motorized stage, and Olympus software enables mosaic imaging so users can acquire continuous 3D (XYZ) and 4D (XYZT) images of adjacent fields of view. The entire process from image acquisition to stitching can be fully automated; prepare composite images quickly and easily prepared using the stitching function to form an image over a wide area. Tiled images can be enlarged in sections without resolution loss. |

Long-duration Time Lapse System Without Focal DriftMicroscopes equipped with Z drift compensation (ZDC) such as the IX3-ZDC2 can acquire each image at a predefined focus plane. The addition of a CO2 incubator maintains cell activity for a long period of continuous imaging. |
