High Resolution, Adjustable Frame Rates

Image of an insect that is completely in focus, acquired with EFI (Extended Focus Imaging) software function in reflected brightfield illumination.Featuring a CCD chip with 2588 x 1965 pixels resolution, the UC50 is ideal for capturing more detail and making high precision measurements – an advantage that becomes clearly evident when working at low magnifications. Subtle intensity and color variations are accurately represented by the camera’s 14-bit dynamic range. Different frame rates and special “search” and “focus” modes simplify the location of suitable sample areas directly on the PC screen, and allow focusing in real time. The UC50 also offers a monochrome acquisition mode.

High Sensitivity

The highly-sensitive CCD elements of the UC50 digital color camera enable detection of even very weak signals and accurate control is ensured by the electronic shutter, which offers exposure times ranging from 0.1 ms to 160 s.

Full Camera Control

All functions are fully available through cellSens imaging software. In all acquisition conditions, real-time functions ensure utilization of the entire dynamic range for optimally-balanced contrast and superior color quality. Full integration into the software meets all the challenges of today´s microscopy imaging applications.

Easy Installation

FireWire technology guarantees easy installation of the camera on any PC or laptop equipped with a FireWire port and enables multiple cameras to be used with the same PC. Only one cable is required for both data and power, minimizing the tangle of unnecessary cables and releasing workspace. The versatile UC50 can be mounted onto all light microscopes with a C-mount adaptor for full flexible use.
